The Kent Federation of Amenity Societies was founded in 1965. It is registered with the Civic Trust and has nearly 100 members and associates. It is affiliated to the Campaign to Protect Rural England (Kent Branch) and registered as charity No 255727. The KFAS aim is to act as a federation of the county’s amenity societies and to monitor environmental, conservation, planning, transportation and development issues throughout Kent – working in collaboration with other county organisations.

Kingsdown Conservation Group have joined the Kent Federation of Amenity Societies  and will work with the group regarding issues &  concerns relating to the  Countryside, Environment, Planning, Architecture,  Heritage and Transport.

The group keep an eye on matters of regional significance and  maintain close links with the following county-wide environmental organisations:

Campaign for the Protection of Rural England Protect Kent (Kent branch of CPRE) Kent Trust for Nature Conservation London Green Belt Council Kent County Council Medway Council Kent Association of Parish Councils.
