The Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory closed to visitors throughout the first lockdown against Covid-19 but two wardens live on site and they continued to record all the wildlife comings and goings throughout the period.  The lack of any kind of human traffic encouraged many rare species to prosper.

This illustrated talk, given by one of the wardens, is a fascinating snapshot of what nature was up to whilst we were all confined to our homes.

SBBOT very kindly let KCG have a copy of the talk so that members who had missed it when it went out live could enjoy it at their leisure.

SBBOT continue to deliver talks via zoom so do check out their website (http://sbbot.org.uk/) for further topics.
